What is Droncit for cats and dogs?

Droncit is an effective tapeworm treatment available for dogs and cats. Droncit 50 mg tablets may be used to treat dogs or cats, while Droncit 20 mg spot-on solution is for use with cats only.

The product is effective against mature and immature forms of the most widespread tapeworms including Dipylidium caninum and Taenia species. The product is also effective against Echinococcus multilocularis.

The active ingredient, Praziquantel, works by damaging the tapeworm’s skin and causing it to disintegrate before being eliminated by the pet’s immune system.

Benefits

  • Dog and cat formula is great for multi-pet households
  • Effective against mature and immature tapeworm
  • No need for fasting before tablet administration
  • Spot-on treatment means less distress for cats
